Ciputra World Surabaya is developed on an area of 7.7 ha and is situated on Jalan Mayjend Sungkono ( in front of Shangri-La Hotel ) at the gate of West Surabaya.

The location of Ciputra World Surabaya is on the main thoroughfare directing to West Surabaya . The location is very strategic and since it is near toll access, the coverage of Ciputra World Surabaya will reach not only the population of West and Central Surabaya, but also South and North Surabaya.

Ciputra World Surabaya will consist of 150,000 m2 of shopping centre, 6 towers of apartments totalling 1,500 units, 5-star diamond hotel with 3,000 m2 ballroom, and an office tower.

Ciputra World Surabaya will be developed in several phases based on the market condition.

    The Mall at Ciputra World is a six-storey shopping centre with 86,000 m 2 gross floor area and has 56,832 m 2 rentable area. There will be the highest escalator in Asia - 18,6 m
    The Mall combines life style shopping and entertainment targetting middle and upper class customers. It will be managed by Ciputra Group which has proven expertise in managing malls; i.e. Mal Ciputra Jakarta, Mal Ciputra Semarang and Mal Ciputra Seraya Pekanbaru. The Mall will open in August 2009.
  • The Residence at Ciputra World ( The Via & The Vue )
    The Residence at Ciputra World is 2 towers of apartments next to the Mall with 30-storey each totalling 464 strata title units of apartments. Each tower has the best view and limited units. The Residence will be equipped with 7,000 m2 outdoor facilities on the 7th floor and connecting doors to the Mall. The Residence will be handed over to the customers in 2010.

The first stage of Ciputra World Surabaya will be developed on +/- 3 ha land, and designed by DP Architect, a world class architect from Singapore which has designed The Esplanade Singapore - theatre on the bay, Dubai Mall - the largest mall in the world, Senayan City, Kemang Village, etc.

The construction of the first stage of Ciputra World Surabaya has started since July 2007.

Pacific Place Jakarta - Phase II

The first phase of Pacific Place is already finished. Tan Kian, one of property tycoon in Indonesia, is planning to build the second phase of Pacific Place Jakarta.

Located behind the 1st Pacific Place in SCBD, the 2nd phase will be :
  • a 70 storeys Apartment / Hotel / Service apartment / Office tower ( haven't decided yet )
  • Retail mall
  • 2,500 sqm Ballroom
  • a 40 storeys Apartment / Hotel / Service apartment / Office tower ( haven't decided yet )
the upcoming Green Line Monorail Station will be built inside the mall. And between the 1st & the 2nd will be connected by a pedestrian walkway.

Rencana Pemperintah Provinsi (Pemprov) DKI Jakarta untuk menjadikan kawasan Jl DR Satrio Kuningan Jakarta Selatan sebagai kawasan Orchad Road langsung direspon sejumlah investor. Salahsatunya, Agung Podomoro Group (APG) yang memulai pembangunan Kuningan City dengan investasi senilai 2,2 triliun.

Diatas lahan seluas 2,9 hektar, pembangunan Kuningan City terdiri dari pusat belanja, perkantoran, dan hunian bergaya modern. Pembangunan akan berjalan sekitar 36 bulan dengan target rampung pada kuartal ketiga 2010. Proyek ini dikerjakan developer Agung Podomoro Group (APG) yang sukses meluncurkan Rusunami (Rumah Susun Hak Milik) di Kelapagading Jakarta Utara.

Handaka Santosa Presiden Direktur Kuningan city menjelaskan, proyek yang pembangunannya baru dimulai ini sejalan dengan rencana pemprov untuk mengembangkan Jl DR Satrio menjadi kawasan Orchad Road. Sesuai arahan pemprov, pedestrian di depan Kuninan City dipersiapkan selebar 10 meter dari badan jalan sampai ke garis komplek.

Tak hanya itu, lanjut Handaka, pihaknya juga akan membangun taman di depan kompleks selebar 20 meter dengan pencahayaan yang artistik. "Taman ini bisa memberikan rasa nyaman bagi wisatawan jika Orchad Road terwujud," tukasnya, Minggu (8/6) sore. Untuk proyek senilai Rp2,2 miliar ini, lanjutnya, diperkirakan rampung pada kuartal III tahun 2010.

Ia menjelaskan, Kuningan City merupakan dukungan APG terhadap rencana pemprov. Proyek di atas lahan seluas 2,3 hektar ini, terdiri enam lantai lifestyle & entertainment center, 40 lantai hunian, 32 lantai perkantoran, serta gedung parkir yang mampu menampung 3.400 kendaraan.

Pusat bisnis kawasan Jl Dr Satrio dirancang pemprov dalam lima tahun kedepan untuk membidik pangsa pasar warga Ibukota dan orang asing yang tinggal di Jakarta. Kawasan ini akan dijadikan koridor unggulan kota Jakarta. Pembangunan pusat bisnis ini dimulai dari Jembatan Casablanca di Jl HR Rasuna Said hingga jembatan di Jl KH Mas Mansyur.

Rencana pemprov menyulap kawasan Jl Prof Dr Satrio memang tak main-main, bahkan selangkah lebih maju. Pasalnya, Dinas Tata Kota DKI Jakarta kini tengah menyusun panduan tata kota atau urban design guide line (UDGL) rencana pembangunan kawasan Jl Satrio. Konsepnya, bangunan di kawasan itu harus saling terhubung tanpa ada pagar pembatas seperti di kawasan Orchard Road Singapura.

Selain itu, dalam penyusunan panduan tata kota itu juga dibahas mengenai konsep penataan transportasi di Jl Satrio. Jadi, trasnportasi massal seperti angkutan umum, monorel, dan subway akan terintegrasi di kawasan tersebut.

A1 Lippo Karawaci Street Circuit - 2nd Street Circuit in SEA




A1GP will visit several new venues next season, including a street circuit in Jakarta, Indonesia, and the Algarve International Circuit in Portugal.

Indonesia hosted races at the Sentul circuit in the first two seasons of A1GP,
but a new street circuit will be developed in the capital city for the third event of the season in November.

The 2.9-mile Algarve circuit, near Poritmao, is due to be completed in October and will open with the final round of the World Superbike Championship on November 2. It will host the penultimate round of the 2008/9 A1GP season on April 12.

They are the second and third new circuits on next season's 11-date calendar, after Mugello was announced as the opening round of the season last month.

Brno in the Czech Republic and Eastern Creek, Australia have both been dropped from the calendar for next season. Eastern Creek has hosted a race in each of the three A1GP seasons so far, while the series has visited Brno for the last two years.

China is set to hold just one round of the series next season, with both Shanghai and Zhuhai in the running for the December slot. No country has yet been confirmed for the date in March which was A1GP's second visit to China this year.

Although both the British and South African rounds are on the calendar, the venue for each is yet to be confirmed. The Durban street race is not traditionally confirmed until closer to the event, but there is a possibility that the British race will move away from Brands Hatch.

The official pre-season tests will take place at Silverstone on August 18-20 and Mugello on the Wednesday and Thursday before the opening races of the season on September 21.
